Timeline and Schedule

Camino Madre Project Timeline

The Camino Madre Renewable Power Project is currently in the early development and data collection phase. The following timeline is based on publicly available information from the project developer, Triple Oak Power.

2025 – 2027: Data Collection, Studies, and Early Development
Installation of meteorological (MET) towers and wind resource measurement.
Transmission interconnection studies.
Environmental studies.
Engineering and preliminary design work.
Public outreach activities.

2028 – 2029: Construction Phase
Major construction activities, including turbine installation, road construction, electrical infrastructure, and battery storage facilities (if applicable).

2029 and Beyond: Commercial Operations
Target commercial operation date beginning in 2029, subject to permitting timelines, interconnection agreements, and construction progress.

Key Notes on Project Status
The project has received Yavapai County approval for four temporary 197-foot meteorological towers (Use Permit PLA24-000120), granted by the Board of Supervisors in April 2025. These towers are part of the wind resource assessment phase.

The full wind, solar, and battery storage project remains in the pre-application and study phase. Detailed permitting, including any required Use Permits from Yavapai County, Arizona Corporation Commission proceedings, and federal interconnection approvals, has not yet been completed.

The exact mix of wind versus solar capacity, final turbine count, and specific construction schedule will be refined as engineering and permitting advance. This timeline is subject to change based on regulatory approvals, environmental reviews, and grid interconnection processes.

Updated information will be posted here as it becomes publicly available from the developer or county records.
