Triple Oak Power
Triple Oak Power Corporate Structure
Triple Oak Power LLC is a U.S.-based renewable energy development company focused on utility-scale wind (and increasingly solar and storage) projects. It was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
Ownership and Investors
In December 2023 / January 2024, Energy Capital Partners (ECP), a leading private equity firm specializing in energy transition, electrification, and decarbonization infrastructure, acquired Triple Oak Power from previous investors (EnCap Energy Transition Fund I and co-investors Yorktown Partners and Mercuria Energy).
ECP provides financial backing and strategic support while the original management team (including CEO and Co-Founder Jesse Gronner and CFO and Co-Founder Kenneth Labeja) continues to lead day-to-day operations.
Project-Specific Structure
For individual developments, Triple Oak uses project subsidiaries.
Camino Madre Renewable Power LLC is the specific subsidiary formed for the proposed wind, solar, and battery storage project in Yavapai County, Arizona (NW of Prescott near Seligman). The site would occupy a large portion of the historic Yavapai Ranch and the Prescott National Forest.
This structure is standard in the renewable energy development industry: A central development company (Triple Oak) manages the overall pipeline and expertise, while separate legal entities (subsidiaries) are created for each project to isolate risks, secure financing, and handle local permitting and operations.
Leadership
Jesse Gronner – CEO and Co-Founder
Kenneth Labeja – CFO and Co-Founder
Ryan Leonard – COO (The full team includes experienced professionals from major renewable companies.)
This corporate setup allows Triple Oak to pursue multiple large projects across the central and western United States while maintaining focused accountability for each site.
